This is my ZUMSpot Hotspot I use with my AT-878UV Plus and FT-70D. I have it in a C4 Labs clear case. It is setup for use with both Brandmeister and TGIF networks.
I cant praise these things enough. They are cheap, durable, and do an amazing job. They are also made by and benefit the amazing website Hamstudy the site where you can practice for your license tests and the site you will use to take your license test online.
UHF/VHF
This is my primary 2 meter/70 cm radio. It supports DMR and is an upgrade from my AT-778UV.
Simple little UHF/VHF radio.
This is copper Jpole as my main antenna for 2m/70cm. Its from KB9VBR.
This was the first antenna I used before I upgraded to my copper Jpole. Its worked great hung up in a window. Its made by Nelson_Antennas on Ebay.
This is a fantastic antenna that you can buy on Ebay.
HF
I went with the G90 for my first HF radio for a lot of the same reasons as my UHF/VHF, space saving and budget friendly. Its been a fun little radio that I highly recommend.Â
The X6100 is my most recent radio. I intend to use it for POTA and other portable use.
This 9:1 EFHW antenna by Nelson_Antennas on Ebay. He makes high quality antennas that work great.
This MFJ-1984 49:1 EFHW is very easy to use and resonate on 40,20,17, 15. Other bands can easily be tuned as well.
This antenna was hand made by N3VAN. I use it with my X6100. I also have a shorter 40-10M version.
This is a fun antenna for portable use. It covers 80-10m and is only 12 feet long fully deployed. Its made by Quirky QRP on Etsy.
This choke is also from Nelson_Antennas on Ebay. It gives me solid 2S decrease in noise.
I got this cable as it was a cleaner solution to using the CE-19 puck for digital modes such as FT8. This cable plugs into the back of the radio then directly into the computer.
Other Gear
This is a generic power supply I got off Amazon to power my radios. Its cheap and simple, but gets the job done and I haven't noticed much noise interference with my radios.
This panel fits in your window and allows you to pass your antenna through without drilling any holes in your walls.
I use this Garmin GPSmaps 64s for portable activations and logging trips. I have it loaded with OSM Topo maps.
